About the Artist
Jennifer grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and received a B.A. in Political Science, certificate in Journalism from the University of Cincinnati. She lives in Morrow, is married and has two children and four grandchildren.

Artist’s Statement
The best gift I ever received was from my Grandma Smith. She gave me a child’s sewing box full of everything you needed to start sewing. I sewed anything, even surgical stitches on my Raggedy Ann doll to match mine. When I grew up it became making curtains, reupholstering furniture, making my daughter’s flower girl’s dress for a friend’s wedding and many years’ latter bridesmaids dresses for my daughter wedding. Once I made my son a bed quilt but I didn’t like following a pattern and never made another one.
Finally in November 2014, I made my first art quilt. I got the big idea of making my grandchildren something lasting and personal for Christmas. There started my journey into Art Quilting. Since then I have created 10 original designed wall sized art quilts. I love every minute of my journey of mistakes and accomplishments in art quilting. The sky’s only the beginning.
