Anne Hubler came to a meeting in 2008   with a stack of silk crazy quilt squares.  They were primarily in pastel colors with cross hatch embroidery on the edges.  “What should we do with these?  Any suggestions?”   Members who were  interested took one of the squares to “work on.”  The general guidelines were to make a new quilt square with the old one as a basis.  The only condition was that the size of the square remain approximately the same.  Our goal was to display the finished pieces as mini-exhibit within one of our exhibits.

Our exhibit, Uncommon Threads: Brilliant Stitches, at The Kettering Municipal Building in November 2008 was the first time they were shown.crazy_kettering_08-002
