About the Artist
Diane spent most of her life in New York and New Hampshire. After obtaining her Master of Information and Library Science she was a school librarian and active member the professional association. Diane and her husband built a log home in New Hampshire and raised two sons there. Here she began quilting traditionally.
A few years before retirement, Diane began attending local and regional quilt conferences and taking classes. With her days of multitasking and juggling a busy schedule fading into the distant past, she took a part time job in a quilt shop. She developed a new passion for using all kinds of thread. Diane has taught classes and her submission to local shows and the Vermont Quilt Festival have merited ribbons.
Diane now splits her time between NH, her long-time home, and OH, where her son and family live. She tries to remember which things are in each of her two sewing rooms!

Artist’s Statement
In exploring art quilting I discovered a joy in finding my inner artist. I work with a variety of threads and quilting techniques. These discoveries along with my love of teaching pushes me to share and learn from others. Landscapes, often created from photographs, have been a favorite. Currently, I am exploring the illusion of transparency.
